Beginners’ Yoga Workshop

Are you keen to try yoga but a little nervous about stepping on the mat? Or have you started practicing but would like a little more support with the foundations? In this friendly workshop, we will explore the foundations of yoga and discover that you really don't need to be bendy to have a beautiful yoga practice.

The afternoon will take you through a gentle yoga practice showing you how to practice with mindful awareness; simple breathing techniques; ways of modifying poses to meet your individual needs; as well as time to soak up deep rest towards the end. There will be plenty of time to see demonstrations, ask questions and understand different styles of yoga, so that you feel more confident in attending group classes.

In the words of a past participant "I came to Anna's workshop having done online yoga during lockdown, and wanting hands-on guidance to improve how I held poses. The session covered that and much more including helpful insights on the underlying principles of yoga. Anna was very knowledgeable and the session was friendly and relaxed, I highly recommend it."

Open to all. No experience of yoga is necessary.

Taking place in-person at Yoga At The ARC in Islington.

Places are £35. Contact Yoga At The ARC directly about concessions that are available.
