Whilst many of us find it natural to offer care and kindness towards others, we can sometimes struggle to offer the same towards ourselves. Research, however, shows that cultivating self-compassion (e.g. treating ourselves as we would a dear friend), improves wellbeing, lowers stress and increases resilience, particularly in the face of life’s inevitable challenges.
This Women’s Workshop* offers an introduction to Self-Compassion, exploring what it is and the benefits it offers, while learning simple, practical ways that we can build it into lives. The session includes gentle practices that are taken sitting and lying down. No experience of yoga is needed but please come in comfortable clothing.
