Pranayama for Calm

The way that we breathe has a huge impact on our state of mind. When life feels stressful, our breath is one of the quickest tools we can reach into to draw ourselves back towards calm. This workshop will explore a range of breathing techniques to feel more grounded, calm, and relaxed and will leave you with a toolbox of techniques to carry with you into life as and when you need.  

We will begin with simple movement to open our rib cage and diaphragm (supporting healthy breathing patterns). We will then explore a range of calming breathing techniques; some practiced as we gently flow through poses, others accessed in stillness. The final portion of the practice will allow you to soak up the benefits as we rest deeply with restorative yoga.
